If you're on the fence about custom-shaped packaging
Ask yourself one question:
Do you want consumers to give your product a second look on the shelf?
If your packaging is square and everyone else's is round, you already have a natural advantage. If the lid shape matches your brand symbol - say, a heart-shaped lid on a heart-shaped cup - that's not packaging anymore. That's brand equity.
But none of that works if the lid doesn't seal properly, peel cleanly, or run on your production line. A great-looking lid that leaks is just a defective lid.
