Flexible Foam Backing with Universal Heat Sealing Compatibility
Universal Foam-Backed Induction Seal Liners are two-piece sealing solutions designed for plastic and glass containers. They combine a PE foam backing with an aluminum foil induction sealing layer and a universal heat seal coating.
During induction sealing, the aluminum foil seals to the container opening, creating a hermetic seal to help prevent leakage and protect the packaged product. After opening, the foil layer separates while the foam backing remains inside the cap, providing convenient resealing and cushioning.
With a customizable foam backing thickness of 0.6–2.0 mm, these liners are suitable for various packaging requirements in the food, pharmaceutical, cosmetic and daily chemical industries. Not recommended for alcohol-based or corrosive products.
Key Features & Benefits
Universal Heat Sealing Compatibility

The universal heat seal layer bonds with PE, PET, PP, other plastics, and glass. Actual compatibility depends on the container material and sealing conditions.
Two-Piece Induction Sealing Structure

Upon opening, the foil separates and seals to the rim, while the PE foam backing stays in the cap. Its cushioning provides a secondary seal when the cap is reapplied.
Leak Protection & Tamper Evidence

The induction-sealed foil provides a hermetic closure to prevent leakage, offers tamper evidence, and ensures an easy-peel, user-friendly opening experience.
Customizable Thickness & Dimensions

Available with PE foam backing thicknesses from 0.6 mm to 2.0 mm. Liner diameter and other specifications can be customized according to cap and container requirements.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is a universal foam-backed induction liner?
+
-
It is a two-piece induction seal liner consisting of a PE foam backing and an aluminum foil sealing layer with a universal heat seal coating. The foil seals to the container, while the foam backing remains inside the cap after opening.
What is the difference between Universal foam-backed and Universal paperboard-backed induction liners?
+
-
The main difference is the backing material. Foam-backed liners use PE foam for cushioning, while paperboard-backed liners use paperboard as the backing layer. Both can be designed with universal heat seal layers.
Which container materials are compatible with this liner?
+
-
It is designed for PE, PET, PP, other compatible plastic containers, and glass bottles. Actual compatibility should be confirmed through sealing tests.
Does the foam backing remain in the cap after opening?
+
-
Yes. The aluminum foil sealing layer separates from the backing during opening, leaving the PE foam backing inside the cap.
Does this liner require an induction sealing machine?
+
-
Yes. Unlike pressure-sensitive or cap-insert foam liners, this product requires an induction sealing process to bond the aluminum foil layer to the container rim.
