INTY has announced that its pressure sensitive foam liners have successfully passed total fluorine screening conducted by SGS, the world-leading testing and inspection organization.
The testing, performed on the IPS1.2 pressure sensitive foam liner, returned a result of "ND" (Not Detected) for total fluorine content, with a method detection limit of 20 mg/kg. The analysis was conducted using ion chromatography in reference to EN 14582:2016, a standard method widely recognized for total fluorine screening.
The report, issued on July 20, 2026, confirms that the liner samples contain no detectable total fluorine.
Why PFAS Total Fluorine Screening Matters
Total fluorine screening is a widely adopted method for detecting the possible presence of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), commonly referred to as "forever chemicals" due to their environmental persistence and potential health risks.
